Steve Lazarides: Laz Emporium
I provided a complete e-commerce solution for the leading urban art dealer. It turned over £1.5million online in year one.
Steve ‘Laz’ Lazarides is ‘Banksy’s frankly-spoken former agent’ (The Financial Times, 2021) and the eminent urban art dealer worldwide. His post-COVID project Laz Emporium is a ‘21st century curiosity shop’ including e-commerce, a London store and a family-run craft workshop based in the countryside outside Bristol.
Laz Emporium
Brief: E-commerce, communications, social media, content
Laz Emporium’s launch required a significant extension and redesign of an existing website plus its back end procedures, and effective marketing for both core and new product ranges.
The marketing brief included audience expansion via social media advertising, revenue maximisation via digital marketing, and brand growth using cutting-edge content strategies.
Laz Emporium turned over more than £1.5million in year one via the digital presence I put in place.

Photography from the Bristol studio was mixed in to the visual identity to communicate elements of craft and community.
Item pages were redesigned and consistent photography standards implemented. New young artists were promoted with behind the scenes imagery: A clear photography strategy helped unusual new ranges fit in with a rigid template.
Lifestyle photography by myself was used on the homepage alongside pack shots. A highly successful newsletter strategy added set-up and launch imagery.
Very successful social media channels with e-commerce strength developed rapidly. Digital content was presented as a ‘fanzine’ ‘The Brain’ with regular themed issues. Content included playlists and video interviews.
I corresponded with PR company Purple. Celebrity supporters were promoted heavily within the new blog function too.
Facebook and Instagram advertising was used to sell core product and promote new ranges. New traffic campaigns fed pixel info to targeted adverts.
